i can't remember when i had the last one.
it probably goes back to when i was a kid. WOW!
i should change that soon :)

tonight i'm heading out to grant park for
the first outdoor film, All About Eve. i have
never seen this and i'm looking forward to it.
it's in the 90s today. a steamy day in chicago.
i now have a small digital camera so i expect
to take pictures daily, maybe join in those
challenges of a picture a day. i found the results
from this makes for some very interesting photographs.
although i have a beautiful slr, it's sometimes to
heavy to carry everyday!! there is something
beautiful to be found in everyday.
chase the summer blues away... go bike riding.
i love this poem i read:
The Rider
by Naomi Shihab Nye
A boy told me
if he roller-skated fast enough
his loneliness couldn't catch up to him,
the best reason I ever heard
for trying to be a champion.
What I wonder tonight
pedaling hard down King William Street
is if it translates to bicycles.
A victory! To leave your loneliness
panting behind you on some street corner
while you float free into a cloud of sudden azaleas,
pink petals that have never felt loneliness,
no matter how slowly they fell.
