lost kitty

some goodbyes are forever.
some goodbyes are temporary.
2 years compared to never seems quite short.

i bought this t-shirt for you 2 years ago
but i never got the chance to give it to you.
it's mine now :) or maybe it always belonged
to me, look at the title, "lost kitty."
i wanted you to see what it said,
i thought it was cute.

(this got cut off in the scan)

BRING CLEO TO CHLOE AT 135 SUN ST.
256-6555

good news Chloe, she was found by the Chicago Theatre ;)

Finding again what one has lost... What a relief! And what a joy :)
It's sadder when what we lose can't be found again... oh, the definitiveness of loss ...

gone said...

I suggest Google, then email. Yeah, or Craig's List. There are ton's of lost kitties on his site.

Lorena said...

cool coincidence Sue!

mermaid :: me too. i hope so too :)!

irina :: yeah, i exist in that sadness for a little longer than some i think because i always find myself missing people that although i've known for a short time, have left a great impression.

cannotBeTrusted :: i think craig's list is a good bet, thanks for the useful tidbits however this kitty has been found! :)

lucky are those who can find their lost love back Lorena. It's precious, but for love, they say it set it free, so don't hold it fast!

The inocence of that design (specially the kitty in the tree) was what shrunk my soul the most. It was as if designed by a fifth grade girl. I'll guess you must have been felt very vulnerable by that time...

Lost and found... What did you found you lost, what really came back, what just went to the land of reminisence, being the memory the only presence posible?

I don't know, it is just so sad...

Take care and God bless you...

H.

But the kitty in the tree looked sooooo cute... Awwwwwwwww!

I have a Kitty, her name is Anastasia and it was given to me in Chicago. She is schizoid, but in her loving mode time she is cute...

The-Scientist said...

Let me guess, Cleo left her home for dreams of stardom, then, later when she failed the audition in the Chicago Theater she called home, seeing a life of sure Meow Mix with sure love is not so mediocre after all... :0)

Take care and God bless,

H.

hi scientist, i know the drawing is adorable. reminds me of how i use to draw houses and trees. i thought it was cute and when i bought it, it was with no sadness.

"being the memory the only presence possible" nice words, i like that. yeah, sometimes that is all we have.

anastasia, pretty name.
thanks for the storyline :) i love it!! cleo was on the phone...hmm....

thanks & take care.

Hey there, this is such a beautiful and inspirational blog.

The photography, text and the whole look of it come together really well.

I miss having cat so much, but I split my time between living on campus (no pets allowed) and home (big dog, not cat friendly) so its impossible for me to have one right now.

Treasure your little one^_^

Cats preffer their own ways.
They are never lost, they just change a path sometimes.

Otherwise, it's nice to be lost in Chicagoland.

Very cute poem indeed...

..and resoundingly haunting....

A proper epitaph for a cat I found once lying dead by the roadside...

allison said...

the t-shirt was the best idea. if i lost my dog, i would make 100 shirts and pass them out to people to wear and hope for the best. i'm so glad you found Cleo.

Lorena said...

hermes :: thanks although i didn't intend for it to be a poem but hey it's even better if it's seen as that so thanks :)

allison :: thanks, although i didn't lose a cat. i know i've confused people. sorry. either way thanks for visiting :)

jenn see said...

there's a weird blend b/t the poignant tone of the shirt & the poignant tone of your words that i really like.

i also really like the word "poignant".

Lorena said...

thanks. gave me another way of looking at it. great word :)
