i was looking through my negatives of past photo shoots and found some of these photographs i had taken of my friends babies. here is a set of each of them; one in where they are sharing a moment with me and another one in where they exist in their own world.

I do love your photography!
The last one is rather unique - the way it captures the child. And her shadow. The child has her arms outstretched..twirling..and the shadow doesnt have the same...interesting.
great shots! it sure captured their special moments. really nice!
Lovely set of pics and apltly titled.
Lovely children.
excellent pictures, so natural and beautiful! :)

thanks amie :)
irina :: aren't they?! thanks. i'm sure being around kids really helps plus it can sometimes be a great cheer up. they make you forget about your problems (and sometimes they become your problem i guess :) i still haven't lost the child in me either, luckily.
thanks anonymous and shirazi :)
gulnaz :: thank you. i felt the quote appropriate, i have it in a frame.

Lorena,
again i'm amazed by your talent and subtle remarks.
are you a professional photographer/artist?
you have what it takes to BE ONE, DEAR!
Its not just the pictures..these are truly precious moments.Children live for the moment so beautifully that we need to learn mindfullness from them and see the world through their eyes!
:)
great photos. i love the third one. it feels so intimate. i just wanna reach out and pinch his cute little cheeks.
i really like the way you contrast the two kinds of moment and also point out in gentle prose thats what you are doing. nice photos, nice kids. you're cool!
Hi,
The last image with the shadow of the girl is amazing. Nice postings.
Was just passing by but was held by your collection of delightful pictures. I always did love black and white photographs. Makes me feel nostalgic everytime I see one.
you, girl, are amazing. your photos are just so beautiful.
Enchanting as ever !!!
Wow, those are so beautiful. I'm sure years from now the children and the parents will still cherish the pictures. Heirlooms, all of them.
Cute kids. You really do the photos, especially I like the black and white ones, outstandingly.
As usual, you take the most awesome photos! I wish you lived near me, or I, you. I'd pay you to take my family's pictures. Not just portrait, real life-style. I absolutely love your talent! Have you thought about going professional?
lorena,
there are two separate themes i feel from the photos, which says alot about the subjects and the photographer.
you capture their innocence so elegantly, but from the sensitivity of an experienced artist.
nice selections and thanks for sharing them! =)
You know I'm smiling. I'm due at November's end. Will you come take pictures of her?:)
Lorena,
I love your photography and your words of wisdom. Every time I read your postings I admire you more. Thank you for giving me those precious moments taken of my baby (Ixtian) and I hope you can someday take more b/c my pictures do NOT come out like yours!
Hey where have u been all these days. Sorry couldnt read ur blog. this post is superb. U do photography ?? GOOd. The pics r real nice.
Yes, you ARE a great photographer! I can tell you like to stand back and see things from a different angle. You're like a wise child. These are so cute!
What beautiful babies. How can it be that so many people fail to realize their fragility and their true value?
Thank you for celebrating them as you have.
J
I do love all those "bobires"...
and I'm hellenas.
Beautiful shots, bringing out the title. Perfect choice to do them in black and white.
Nice Pics. Expecially the last one. The shadow effect is great!
softly :: wow, thank you for saying that! :) it really means a lot. no i'm not professional but thank you for your kind words, brought a big smile to my face :)

leslie :: thank you. yeah, if we lived closer i'd love to take pics of your family. i just realized i haven't taken that many pics this summer, better start! :) going professional..never thought of it but thanks for the idea!
stella :: very perceptive. one photographer that i read up on once said that he was always looking outside to look inside himself. (didn't quote correctly :) thanks for the wonderful compliment, it really is encouraging and it feels so good!
andrea :: thank you so much. i admire you as well for being a strong woman and mother. thanks for helping me with my projects!
i'll meet you & ixtian with my camera anytime :)
anuj :: i've been here! photography is a hobby. thanks.
bc :: yeah and sometimes i use my hands to fit things (hard to explain) thank you for your sweet words!!! ok now you've given me permission to say it because i was always hesitant "i am a photographer" thanks :)
the voice :: thanks & what a nice way to put it. i think our fears/insecurities/experiences shadow our good qualities, our self-value. then we spend time with a young soul and they remind us what it is all about. life is about sharing our lives & being happy with the simple things.
hellenas :: thanks for visiting & leaving a comment :)
.:A:. :: b&w is what i like most. thanks.
neel arurkar :: she looks so lost in her own world in that one. thanks.
mermaid :: just realized i didn't reply to you. i would be honored too :)
To be young, to be free, to be lithe and to be without the grown-up baggages... these are the best things. :]
Incredible photos, Lorena! And kids are always such a rich subject to focus on.
as i photographer i always found it difficult to capture children properly.
Good work!
lorena, yes! that was exactly what i meant, capturing outside what is felt within - both equally beautiful! =)
very beautifully captured emotions in motion!
carolvs :: yes they are!
kayla :: thank you :)
ultra moscha god :: well i take this as a great compliment, thank you. also, thanks for visiting :)
stella :: thank you sweetie, that is what is great about blogs, we see the beauty that matters from so many people and it's beautiful, like you :)
venus :: thanks. i see so much emotion in these little souls, i'm glad you pointed that out :) and cool description!
hi lorena,
I love most the first photography!
It reminds me of a book I have read of a very shy handicapped child
but what love could perform:
it learned reading and writing and passed the examen that he could have been able to start with university.
The parents had no more hope for it but the nurse of it took it into her house like a mom
and cared for it.
I think the title was "Im Tal der Liebe" (In the Valley of Love)
hi idi,
thank you for visiting and for leaving this warm story. isn't it amazing the feelings and recollections picture can bring about. i'm glad you liked it.
thanks :)
great pictures!
thanks :)
